While trying to guide someone through a complex process, over an instant messenger, you may find yourself taking snapshots, loading them in Paint and writing down a few instructions. Illustrating something is much easier than explaining in words. TurboDemo can help you illustrate entire procedures. Instead of taking screenshots and loading them in Paint one by one, you can let this application take burst snapshots as you perform the actions you wish to explain. The software also allows you to insert various annotations on your screenshots, to make your demo easier to understand.

The software can be used free of charge, for a period of 30 days. You will not encounter any kind of restrictions during the evaluation period, so you can properly evaluate the software's features. Its setup file is almost 15 MB and it does not take long to install its core components. The software is compatible with all popular Windows platforms and its hardware requirements are modest.

TurboDemo provides the same functionality as a screen recorder, but instead of recording videos, it takes snapshots of the screen or part of it, which gives you a few clear advantages. When you start a new project, the software will immediately display the necessary options for preparing a recording process. You can choose to record a specific area on the screen, by typing the corresponding dimensions or by resizing and moving a rectangle, directly on the screen. When your preparations are in order, you may hit a Record button and start working.

You don't need to worry about getting stuck while recording. If you lose your train of thought during a recording and you need a moment to think, you can take all the time you want to plan your next actions. Rather than taking continuous snapshots and burdening you with useless images, the software will capture the screen only when you click something. The actions themselves are recorded separately and as a result, you can modify your mouse movements.

When you are done recording, the screenshots will be displayed as slides, on the software's main user interface. A series of options are presented on the right side of the window, which can be used to play the recording, insert sounds, adding new screenshots, blank slides, exporting the recording and more. Additional options are made available when editing individual slides. You can insert all sorts of annotations, including bubbles, notes, pointers and so on. As previously mentioned, you can also modify your recorded mouse movements. The start and end positions of the mouse cursor are displayed on each slide and you can move them anywhere you want, on the same slide. The recording can be exported in various formats, including AVI, SWF, Java, MS Word DOC, PDF. It is also possible to export the project as a sequence of images.

Pros

The software records your actions and it takes snapshots only when you click something. You can insert various annotations on your recordings and modify the mouse cursor's path. The recording can be exported in various graphical formats.

Cons

There are no clear drawbacks to mention. Demos and tutorials can be made as fast and easy as possible, thanks to TurboDemo's flexible and easy to understand functionality.
